13. Final Comments

For those converts who commit their lives to be disciples of the way the fruits and all the gifts of the Holy Spirit are basic equipment in the conflict with the spirits of darkness and evil.

To seek after a close oneness with Jesus will bring forth much fruit as the Holy Spirit quickens us in the beauty of holiness. We can in this way experience our lives changing day by day as we grow up into the nature of Christ. These writings have looked more closely at this fruit and Paul has good advice in ways to help this fruit grow.

(Phil 4:8 KJV) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

As fruit grows you will have more and more confidence to fulfil your calling as a Disciple and Priest in the Body of Christ.

(1 Pet 2:5 NIV) you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

When we alone or are gathered together, the Lord does not leave us empty handed to face a cunning foe. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are given by the grace of God to use as powerful weapons to overcome the enemy.

It is important to remember that these “spirituals” are never forced upon us. Being gifts they are to be actively received and faithfully ministered.

(1 Cor 14:26 NIV) What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church.

Everyone bringing some contribution to share with the church is a calling upon all of the saints when they gather. You personally may not be guided by the Holy Spirit to minister but the power of the assembled church, each with a Word from the Lord, is a force to be reckoned with, and the Principalities and powers of this world are afraid of such harmony.

To have a Scripture in your heart which is directly relevant to the Word that is preached, or a prophesy that meets the need of the brethren, or a Message in Tongues that points the way for the church, not only blesses the church but does wonders for your own faith.

We can no longer continue to be without the blessings of the Holy Spirit and the power of His anointing

(2 Tim 3:5 KJV) Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

God will not bless a church that ignores His power

(Eph 3:16-20 NIV) I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, [17] so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, [18] may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, [19] and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. [20] Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,
